My name is William, and I'm a disabled and queer artist from the North West of England. I've been writing for most of my life, and following some external stresses, I made the decision to follow that path as a full time dedication, studying Creative Writing at university and putting all my focus into projects I wouldn't have had the time for if I had stayed in med school. Focusing on my writing has also given me better insight into who I am as not just an individual, but as host of a system. We have Dissociative Identity Disorder, which is unfortunately demonised in a lot of media. There is very little in terms of accurate portrayal of systems, and less so of positive representation. I want to be able to write something that better represents the true lived experience of what it's like to be host to a system, and of what we are like as human being. One day, we will have something good to see of our conditions.
