May the Divine Light gifted to us by Ka-tyr shine eternal.
Acting upon this universe are forces far greater than anything the majority of mortals will ever know. At least that’s what there used to be; before the events that mark the end of a universe. Those old enough to remember, those unfortunate enough to have survived, can recall the stories of creatures deemed impossible, that exist beyond the Solar-Terran understanding of the laws of this Reality.
They’ll speak their memories of crystalline creatures that make up the core of every star in the universe, watching over all those in its orbit. They’ll recite their scripture of a galaxy in the very centre of the universe, its spiral orbit around the source of the Big Bang, where the most glorious and powerful of these impossible creatures used to reside: Kym-atyl.
These impossible creatures were known as the Myka-atyl. Older than the universe and possibly older than Reality itself, these creatures had no flesh nor bone. In place of these mortal materials, they had Kym-azyl, an impossible substance both a solid crystal and a molten plasma. In place of blood, they had Za-tyr – the divine light of life – flowing through their veins.
All those billions of years ago, Ka-tyr, The God of Gods, of Space and of Time, opened up their veins, allowing Za-tyr to spill out over the universe. Za-tyr took root in countless systems, around a quarter of those in all of the universe. Almost 250 quintillion, across all of space and time, with this gift of life. While many were able to develop life from their own natural evolution – Sol, Altairus, Pollux, Betelgeuse – systems where Za-tyr had taken root had their life designed by a higher life form, a sentient manifestation of Za-tyr. Among these systems with this divine gift of Light were Heryan, Fulgrym, Cormu-Dame, and Dyrem-Zetyn.
The system that caused the end of the universe.
